Swarovski enlighten the actresses of “Nine”

Success for the new musical of the exceptional cast “NINE“. A comedy musical such as the Broadway ones, which tells the life of the famous film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) and of his profound existential and creative crisis while trying to manage the women in his life: his wife (Marion Cotillard), his mistress (Penélope Cruz), his muse (Nicole Kidman), his confidant and costume designer (Judi Dench), a young American fashion journalist (Kate Hudson), the prostitute of his youth (Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson) and his mother (Sophia Loren).

Colleen Atwood, winner of the Academy Award for Chicago and Memoirs of a Geisha, designed the costumes. For the occasion Colleen Atwood has collaborated with Swarovski, for charming, bright and spectacular costumes.

Over a million of CRYSTALLIZED ™ – Swarovski Elements have been used to decorate the costumes of the entire cast. The result? 36 costumes embellished with crystals: a Crystal Mesh dress worn by Kate Hudson, a beret worn by Penélope Cruz, an evening gown worn by Nicole Kidman and 25 showgirls outfits put in the Folies Bergères scene.
